A gripping tale of ambition, corruption, and resilience.

About the Book

Nefariority stems from a deeply personal journey. What began as the opportunity of a lifetime—working as a writer's assistant on America’s #1 procedural crime drama—quickly transformed into the challenge of a lifetime. Hunter, who had never centered his identity around his sexuality, found himself in a position where standing up for what’s right became imperative, especially in an industry where silence often prevails. This novel draws on his experiences, offering a gripping exploration of resilience, courage, and the fight against injustice in the heart of Hollywood.

In Nefariority, debut novelist Eric Robert Hunter delivers a gripping tale of ambition, corruption, and resilience. Inspired by true events, Joel Cacciatore's rise in Hollywood takes a dark turn as he’s entangled in a web of surveillance, deceit, and conspiracy orchestrated by a sinister writers' room known as The Murder. As Joel's sanity hangs by a thread, he confronts the high cost of fame, questioning the limits of his morality and determination to survive in Tinseltown.

Based on true events, Nefariority explores the harassment, invasion of privacy, gang-stalking, and defamation of character Joel endures as he tests the limits of what it takes to ‘make it’ in Hollywood while also questioning his sanity. Can his conviction survive his vices?
